If waterbed mattress is properly filled at approximately 8 1/2" waterbed mattress is Plush Firm. Plush with Medium motion. Sharper motion that stops in about 5 -7 seconds. All persons can easily touch bottom if care is not excercised. Sleepers motions effect each other a fair amount.
