Decks usually are assembled from two or three 1/2 inch thick boards. These boards may be particle board but chip board is better. Notice that the deck overhangs the riser because it is longer and wider.

The Deck will be held in place by the frame after it frame is placed over the deck. Attaching hardware completes the waterbed frame assembly. Consult your manual.
