The Frame

The frames purpose is to hold the mattress in place and in shape. The frame is usually made of wood 2 inch thick and about ten inches high. The frame has a ledge at the bottom and top that allows it to sit on the deck. The sides overlap the deck, this is why hardware is used on the sides.
