Wood Frame Waterbed sizes


{California King}
California or Waterbed King Size
72" X 84"
The California King is slightly taller and narrower than the Eastern King. Bedding for this size may not be available in some rural areas. Hardside waterbeds in the "King" size are generally California King.
{Cal. Queen}
California or Waterbed Queen Size
60" X 84"
The California Queen is 4" longer than the Eastern variety. Hardside waterbeds usually use the California Queen size.

Super Single Size
48" X 84"
The Super Single size will accommodate most adults. This size is almost unique to waterbeds.

Conventional Mattress Sizes

76" X 80"
(also known as Eastern King)
The choice of many tall couples is the King. This is not a wood frame waterbed size.

{Queen bed}
Queen Size
60" X 80"
(Also known as "Eastern Queen"}
The Queen is the most popular size today, it easily accommodates two average size adults. This is not a wood frame waterbed size.
{Full XL}
Full XL Size
54" X 80"
The Full XL accommodates the height of modern American's better than a full but lacks side room. This is not a wood frame waterbed size.
{Full size}
Full Size
54" X 75"
The Full or Double as it used to be known will accommodate two small to medium size adults. This is not a wood frame waterbed size.

{Twin bed}
Twin Size
39" X 75"
As you can readily see, the Twin bed is suitable for children or small adults only. This is not a wood frame waterbed size.


 Size can be an important factor when buying a bed. The larger the bed, the easier it is to find a comfortable position. Two other considerations are the size of the room the bed will be in, and your pocketbook.
