The typical Pedestal Riser shown above is made of 1/2" particle board. The outside is painted black. The Riser should be assembled about 8 inches from the wall, 15 inches for beds with a bookcase headboard. This is because the Riser is smaller than the deck and frame. Riser Detail
The simplified drawing above shows the four plastic connecting braces used to join the four outer boards together. The boards are simply pushed into the connecting braces and then set on the floor where the bed will be built.
Above we see a photo of a brace and the inside of one of the boards, notice there is a groove that the brace slides into that holds it together.
SORRY - we do not sell the plastic braces. Each riser manufacturer uses different thicknesses of wood and different dimnsions for their riser parts. |
