Is your shopping cart secure?  Yes!  Anytime you are entering sensitive information, the website is secure. We use VeriSign for all credit card transafctions for yoursafety and ours.

How can I tell when it is secure? There is an image of a lock usually found at the bottom of the browser. When the lock is displayed as closed, your data on that web page is encrypted.

My computer is telling me there is a Security Problem with your website, is this true?   Yes and no.   ABC Waterbed Outlet has the latest security keys installed and tested and it works for almost everyone, however we have found that some older browsers are having problems. There are two types of problems:

- Problem one is a Y2K problem found in very early browsers, they were designed with 2-digit years - e.g., 98 for 1998.  After 1999 these browsers fail because they assume that the digits 00 are for the year 1900.

- The other problem is that some browsers internal certificates were designed to expire in the year 2000.  Generally Internet Explorer version 5.5 or newer is recommended and most other browsers newer than 2000.

If you don't have the time right now to upgrade ( who has time these days? ) You can order several other ways including ordering online and then calling in your credit card number.

Another way is to order over the telephone, call toll-free 1-877-420-2337 Monday through Friday 12:00 - 4:00pm EST for either of these methods.

Another method is to place the order online and then print it out for faxing or mailing to us. This method is very convenient for those that wish to pay by check. Remember, the bank hold personal checks for up to ten days delaying your order. Cashiers checks or money orders are faster.

How private is the information I supply?   Very!   ABC Waterbed Outlet respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information that you share with us. Generally, you can browse through our website without giving us any information about yourself. We don't collect personal information, including your email address as you browse.

We do need your personal information to ship the products you purchase or answer the questions you have emailed us. We safeguard this information and it is not shared outside the company (i.e. third parties). We simply do not abuse our customers.

Will I get unsolicited emails?  No.  We do send emails relating to your purchases or in reply to questions. We do not send you junk mail and we do not share your email address with third parties.

What is a cookie?  A cookie is a small data file that certain Web sites write to your hard drive when you visit them. The only personal information a cookie can contain is information you supply yourself. A cookie can't read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other sites.

A cookie file can contain information such as a user ID that the site uses to track the pages you've visited, this helps you get where your going faster the next time you visit the site. We do not use this type of cookie.

Certain websites place cookies on your computer to track websites you have been to as a marketing tool. We do not do this or subscribe to these kinds of gorilla marketing tactics.

Do you use cookies?  Yes, we use one.

One cookie is used by our shopping cart software so that you can go from place to place adding items to the cart. This way you only go through checkout one time. Almost all shopping carts work this way. The items you added to the cart are saved in the cookie. No personal information is stored in this cookie, only your cart selections for later checkout.
